Mopar Body Styles

Every now and then I have someone tell me that they have a "C" body....when they don't. I won't expound any further than that. It does make a difference when you're building a wiper motor for someone because the timing on the motor is different, the wiring harness is different and sometimes the switch plate is different...I hate sending someone something that won't work for them. I mean really, when you order something for your car and it arrives, it's like Christmas....I hate opening something and finding out "aghghghgh it doesn't work".

1970 E Body Wiper Transmission Restored

Well we got this setup back from the plater and had just barely gotten it reassembled before it sold.  It's shipping into Norway tomorrow, but we'll have more to offer soon!  Thought it would be prudent to post photos while I had them as an example of the finished product.

The motor came in the mail today, and WOW does it look good! I've seen a few resto jobs in my time but this one takes the cake. I can't believe the attention to detail. You are truly the best.

 

Now I know I'm not the first car-guy-gearhead to contact a business called "Passion4Mopars" and be totally blown away when a woman answers the phone and knows every detail about the subject at hand!

 

I'll be honest with you, I was a little apprehensive at first. But after talking with you and seeing the final product, I've come to one conclusion: You ARE a car-guy's dream girl. I'd propose except for two very minor details.... 3,000 mile relationships never work, and oh yeah, I'm pretty sure we're both married. Damn.

One HOT Mopar Wiper Motor

Every now and then you send a motor out and the owner contacts  you that he's having problems, I say send it back....this is  the hottest motor I've EVER had returned to me

There's a Part 2 and Final Part of this one....this will be a total rebuild of the internals on this motor.  When they "bind", please don't run them, look for smoke and WHY the switch didn't pop on this one I don't know, it never should've gotten this hot. 


This shows the importance of having proper crank arm, etc. on a particular application.  Binding will cause a motor to run but not turn and build some heat.  Turn the KEY off, as long as the key is on, the blue wire is "Hot" so turning the wiper switch to the "off" position will not save the motor from damage.

General Industries Wiper Motor Restored

Every now and then we work "deals" with people we've worked with before, and some new, where we trade labor on a motor or two for a certain number of fully usable good condition cores....hey it's a win win situation that way right?

These are photos of Bob's restored variable speed General Industries wiper motor, one of the motors on the deal above described.  This particular motor is going on an early build 68 B Body application, Charger I believe.

 

Wait til you see the AC lines we're currently working on and are almost completed for another Charger...they are sweeeeeeeeeet.  Some new products, and thus my earlier hint of surprises to come!
